Helio Drift official: $225 in black or white (Engadget Mobile)

Nov 16th 2006 1:10PM I've just started using this phone along with Helio this week and so far it's been digilicious. For me, GPS + Google Maps is the killer app, and it works wonderfully. Oddly, the buddy beacon uses Mapquest's maps - go figure... I love the relatively open media format too - I can put my own music and videos on the phone - hooray! Here's hoping everything with Helio and the Drift stays this good - w00!

Microsoft and the de-menuing of everything (Download Squad)

Nov 3rd 2005 12:31PM The more things change... Solaris did this nearly ten years ago on their GUI desktop - when I saw the Microsoft version of the dashboard I got this incredible sense of deja vu. Interesting that they (Microsoft) decided to go with that paradigm after all this time.
