Twuffer: schedule your Twitter posts (Download Squad)
Nov 10th 2008 8:21PM To be honest, I'm not sure about the utility of being able to schedule Twitter posts given Twitter is such a dynamic and fluid communications tool. I guess it's maybe something corporate users might find useful but that's about it.
Nikon's Coolpix L18 for 8 megapixel point and shooting (Engadget)
Jan 29th 2008 1:01PM I'm more impressed with how much coverage that Nikon is receiving on Techmeme than the camera itself. :)
Is this ethical - Part 2 (Blog Maverick)
Jan 25th 2008 10:41AM Mark,
At first, I thought you were in the wrong because there appeared to be no conversation about the journalist using the interview as the basis for a blog post. Now, I see that the issue was raised, and it was clear the material was not supposed to be for Deadspin or another blog.
I'm not sure why Will felt it had to blog about it but perhaps the temptation was too much for him to resist. He broke the "rules" - shame on him.
AT&T hands out free hotspot access to broadband customers, ups its bandwidth (Engadget)

Is This Ethical for a Blogger/Journalist ? (Blog Maverick)
Jan 23rd 2008 3:46PM At the very least, the reporter should have asked you if they could blog about the interview.
As a ex-journalist, I know first-hand that writing for a media outlet AND running your own blog can be a delicate balancing act. You get access to interesting people because of your day job, and your employer expects you to use this access to write content from them.
The question is whether this information can be used by the reporter when he's not working for another purpose. Does the employer own the information or does a reporter have the right to re-purpose it?
It's an interesting ethical issue that's not easy to answer.
