Every lock has been broken in the past and it wont take too long and this will be too. Maybe i am wrong, but after 3 years Mac i still have my paranoia coming from 10 years Windows - and i've seen all good attempts fail.

And once it's broken this built-in feature is as good as nothing. Why is Apple entering that "contest" at all? Because of the handful trojans circulating in the depths of pirated software hell only.. i don't think so.

Anyway.. Just saying you shouldn't think you're saver now. As always, you will hear that your computer is probably compromised when it's on the news. ;-)

Firefox 3 download day made possible by Windows (Download Squad)

Jun 28th 2008 10:46AM I was waiting that my essential extensions get an 3.0 upgrade. I need the browser for work, not only for surfing.

And yeah..
if you "just surf the web" the Safari will do the trick.

It is hard to convince mac users to use Firefox because to them it will always feel a little slower. And the "Better than IE" argument does not count on Mac. So there is really no reason to switch.

If you are a webdeveloper on the other hand there is no way around Firefox in my opinion. And because of that we can't just switch on day 1.. we need the extension developers to upgrade and most of them wait for final release too.

Feb 24th 2008 1:34PM the SD5 update was pushed down via the automatic updating system, apparently catching many people by surprise when they discovered it was a paid upgrade.

Exactly what happend to me.. I tried to unlock for about 10 minutes or so until i realized that there seems to be no way to activate it with my bought key.

I contacted the support right away to ask what's going on and the told me that this is a paid upgrade, and that i am free to go ahead and buy it.. I didn't told them that i got that license from MacHeist initially by the way...

However: I deleted SpeedDownload 5 and never installed 4 again. I was very upset about this "upgrade information".

I never had any Mac Software that i had to pay for after i followed the automatic upgrade notification and that's why i just blindly install them.. YazSoft simply abused my trust there.. I will read such notifications twice from now on!!

I just saw the list on TUAW, jumped onto the site, hit buy, and everything was cool.. but then i found that the "10 Mac Apps for an insanley low price" are only 7 apps actualy ^_^

I bought it for CoverSutra, CSSEdit, ChaChing and Pixelmator ..

Well.. CoverSutra is cool, but no CSSEdit and no Pixelmator, plus the fact that i have to wait on ChaChing license -.-

Not quite the fun i expected. If i buy 10, i want 10.
Only 300 purchases till now.. i hope we get 5000 sales

I just got it on iTunes and i must say that this Episode was worth waiting for. The battle was outstanding!!!

I agree with the Fran-part. I too wished she became the missing link to Ancient-Tech and stay to support McKay (after the scene where she helped McKay get the coding right, it almost looked that way).

Maybe McKay creates another one for fun. But then again.. yah.. pretty much "Data"-like, but still had some potential (for at least one episode, or so..).

The alliance worked out too well! The Wraiht outnumbered the humans -even after the battle- and it just doesn't seem right that they didn't attack the Travelers and Atlantians after the job was done... I expected that. Almost looks like they are buddys now.. weird.

Overall i cant say much about the ending.. i dont know who she is and it smells a little, that she - being replicator herself - survived all this, while the others did not. They all are made out of nanites, aren't they? It makes no sense...

So much has happended in this episode and a little "too much" for my taste. As said, most outcomes smell.. as if 5 people wrote on that story.. or maybe just one who simply had not enough time to work this out.

Nov 15th 2007 8:07AM I saw the early "dos" demo of the Windows 7 and i think they are on a good way to do it right this time. Cleaning up the core is the best option.

I always loved the speed of win98. For me it would be enough if they just pick it up again, add better HDD, USB and CPU support and finish that product.. (make it bugfree). And maybe a nice UI like in vista with subpixel rendering and i am happy.

But thats just wishful thinking :-)

If they create a stable core for Windows 7, they already doing what they should have done - so it's all good. Looking forward.
