Pauly Shore vs The Cowboy (Cinematical)

Dec 13th 2006 4:22PM It is a fake (http://www.tmz.com/2006/12/12/cops-say-pauly-shore-video-a-fake/) but I disagree with your assertion that Pauly Shore doesn't deserve it.

Do be hatin' Internet Explorer (Download Squad)

Sep 4th 2006 6:36PM How old is this site? It claims Opera costs $39, which is free now.

When You Think Hitch, Think Fogler (Cinematical)

Jul 15th 2006 12:32AM So Matt "Little Britain" Lucas isn't playing Hitchcock, then?

Superman = Jesus Christ? (Cinematical)

Jul 10th 2006 8:57PM The parallels between Superman and Christ are pretty obvious -- the 1978 film played on them in a big way ("They can be a great people, Kal-El, they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way. For this reason above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you... my only son." -- I think they've re-used this in the new film). Donner and Mankiewicz speak pretty candidly about this on the DVD.

Trailer Park: Happy Father's Day! (Cinematical)

Jun 18th 2006 9:02PM Alan Arkin in "Edward Scissorhands" could have been a typical two-dimensional dim-wit suburban dad, but was not.

Preorder Your Classic SW -- It Looks Pretty! (Cinematical)

May 18th 2006 6:39PM It always disappointed me that the first lot of DVDs (and the prequels) sported crappy Photoshop covers, especially when there's an extensive back-catalogue of awesome classic artwork from all 6 films (Drew Struzan's work, anyone); it looks like these are in keeping with that tradition. Surely some fans out there are keen to put some alternative covers together which you can then print off and use instead? I know this has been done for some early "Doctor Who" DVD releases.

Sam Neill and Julian Glover Were Almost James Bond (Cinematical)

Apr 26th 2006 3:39PM Sam Neill's screen test is on the DVD of "The Living Daylights" (although I have a feeling it's been excised from the R1 release).

Oscar highs and lows (Cinematical)

Mar 6th 2006 10:54PM I think the first rap song to win best Original Song was actually "Lose Yourself" in 2003.

An even bigger Kong? (Cinematical)

Feb 19th 2006 1:21PM At least you know about the future versions coming out now, 'cos nothing bites more than an unpublicised special edition being scheduled when the bare bones edition is released.

X-Men 3 Gets Novel Treatment (Cinematical)

Jan 25th 2006 10:07PM By all accounts Claremont's X2 novelisation was really good. He knows the characters well and apparently it showed.
