May 26th 2011 6:57PM I wouldn't entirely be surprised by a WWDC launch. Wasn't there talk recently of releasing Lion through the Mac App Store? The moment Apple decides to make Lion "go gold," they can start selling it.
Feb 21st 2011 2:03PM They indeed broke a rule. They just figure it's an unfair rule.
Feb 3rd 2011 9:51PM @mike They're "Paid-for" in the sense that they must be "paid-for" to be used.
Jan 6th 2011 3:34PM 20$ is not outrageous for Bejeweled 3. It comes with about 4 main + 4 unlockable game modes and it has only been a month since it came out. It also has some quality graphics, taking advantage of the fact this is a game for actual computers, not portable devices. Let's remember this - not only is there more work involved in getting things nice and polished on a larger screen and a much larger number of devices, it's harder to play the "You'll get more sales since it's a large platform so lower the price" excuse since the Mac App Store is only for 1) Mac, 2) Snow Leopard, thus Intel Mac users who 3) updated to get the App Store. When there's going to be enough people to sustain Mac devs at iOS prices, you might start seeing prices drop.
Dec 29th 2010 12:26PM How about The Eleventh Doctor? Remember, we only met him at the start of this year.
Dec 11th 2010 4:29PM The screen can be flipped just by tilting the iPhone in the direction you want to hold it. Just wait a moment and it's done.
Nov 15th 2010 5:54PM "The resulting parody was "willful, intentional, and purposeful, in disregard of and indifferent to the rights of Brownmark," the lawsuit states."Well... yes. Isn't that the point of parody? Isn't parody protected against infringement due to its very nature of copying a pre-existing concept? Aren't there laws protecting it?
Oct 29th 2010 9:40PM Wouldn't there NOT be conservative (or liberal) speakers if it were "non-political"? Either way, the rally is more to mobilize the sane and calm of America. Whether you see that as "left" or "right" is up to you.
Oct 15th 2010 7:11AM I know you're bitter that they want to go to jury but that might actually be a good thing: they might go and tell Webvention to STUF.Oh, and Sebastian, what part of Non-America do you live in?
Oct 8th 2010 5:08PM I'm almost wondering why you're asking. How else would you control a platformer on iOS? It does have a tilt option but I've head it's not even worth mentioning. The controls themselves - a kind of d-pad/analog stick and a button - work well but it has some iffy acceleration and the homing mechanic takes some getting used to if you're used to classic Sonic. They're still decent controls for not having any physical buttons to work with.
