Aug 13th 2010 9:56AM It looks like FreeApps has included Python now. I wish they would include VirtualBox. I see they have a link to download Sandboxie, but it's not a part of the all-in-one download scheme right now.
May 27th 2010 2:53PM This sounds awesome. I get tired of plain, old FTP transfers.Undrhil
Jan 13th 2010 1:32PM As others before me have said, I do not currently have a back-up plan for my home data. This is mainly because there are no decent free or cheap programs to use for data backup in Windows. As hard drive prices have started to plummet (and hard drive sizes have started to sky-rocket), I find that the available drive space is there so now I need a way to fill it. :)I would love to have a copy of this and, if need be, I'll be bookmarking their page to give out to friends and family who need back-up solutions. At $37, it's not *cheap* but it's not *expensive* either. :)
Nov 6th 2009 2:53PM I agree with RTMS. If Microsoft can't force a browser on the end-user, what gives Google the right to do it?Now, I can understand if the OEM decided on their own to make this choice, but if Google has made a deal with the OEMs to do it, that's not very fair, in the long run.
Jul 14th 2009 9:45AM I thought there wasn't going to be an upgrade path from Windows XP directly to Windows 7. Is this not the case anymore?
Jul 10th 2009 2:31PM So ... uh ... how would this work if I am using Windows Vista Ultimate and I pre-order Windows 7 Home Premium, with the intent to upgrade it to Windows 7 Ultimate through the Upgrade anytime process?I assume I can't upgrade from Windows Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Home Premium?
Jun 18th 2009 3:30PM Everyone keeps throwing around the phrase "upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7." Unfortunately, Microsoft isn't providing a clean way to upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7, unless you upgrade from Windows XP to Windows Vista and then to Windows 7. So, what you *should* be saying is "shelling out for a full version of Windows 7." Or whatever iteration of that phrase would be compatible in place of "upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7."Also, has anyone heard any news of Microsoft having a change of heart about not being able to upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7?
Jun 15th 2009 9:11AM "Registration is required." I see a flaw when a piece of software to be used as an anonymizer requires registration.A better plan would be to make a piece of software the changes the TCP/IP headers to show *a different IP address* down the line, so that even if someone did try to trace it back, it won't go where they think it goes.
Jun 3rd 2009 2:14PM I keep getting the alternating Sign In error and 501 Server Error errors.
May 19th 2009 9:20AM It would be nice if there was a way to make an installer that could pull down each of these for someone to install. So you could package the list, let us download the installer and then we could install the ones we want to try out or use.Is such a thing possible (on Windows)?
