Apr 8th 2011 3:21PM Good luck going back to Windows and being a happy user. I have to use Windows every day for work and it's a total pain. As much as Apple pisses me off sometimes, there is no good alternative out there.

But if you're really that masochist, all the power to you. :-) Just teasing. Nothing wrong with liking Windows. I personally don't, but who knows if they will eventually come up with a worthy alternative in the OS field.

Apr 8th 2011 3:19PM Sure, he won't be able to sell his app in the Mac App Store, but there is a huge market for it, all the Snow Leopard users that will not migrate to Lion right away, so he can still sell it on his web site.

I doubt people will be migrating to Lion just because of LaunchPad.

Mar 29th 2011 10:04PM This is cool and hopefully components will get smaller and smaller, so this solution will be practical for games and other applications that require you to carry the iPad around. For presentations, like you said, it's very handy, as you don't have the cables all over the place.

Mar 21st 2011 12:18PM All I have to say on this topic is that I'm gay. I lived most of my life dealing with prejudice and intolerance. In fear of being "rejected" by friends and family. For straight people is very easy to pass judgement and say things like that are not important, but we are in 2011. When will our society evolve to the point where people can be themselves without fear or discrimination?

I'm just sad and tired of dealing with this on a daily basis. That's all.

Mar 21st 2011 12:00PM The reason this does not work is probably very simple: to prevent movie piracy and probably is dictated by the movie studios. If you could capture easily any video you play on your iPad, you could play a movie and record it on your Mac, bypassing the silly DRM schema.

Just my guess, seeing that the movie studios are usually behind all the restrictive schemas Apple has to implement.

Mar 18th 2011 11:10AM That is true. If the magnets are strong enough, will they cause damage to the information stored in the magnet strip of most cards? A very good question and a valid concern. Hopefully someone is looking into this, if not, like you said, is already mentioned in the manual for the Apple cover.
