What Apple could learn from Palm's webOS (Engadget)
Jan 15th 2009 2:34PM The only negative I have about Sprint is that there service is VERY spotty where I have my phone. (This could've changed I left last year), literally on the street I live on, you can turn onto the street, have perfect reception, less than 1/4 mile down the road where I live, nothing - nada - no service. Sprints best response? "We're working to get connectivity in your area," and that was the same thing I had been told for several years. Of course, probably as soon as I left they got connectivity out the wazoo, but thats besides the point now...

Unconfirmed details flow about Palm's CES-bound Nova phone (Engadget)
Jan 5th 2009 9:01AM Yeah, I've still got mine and its usable, and I too am semi-excited about this announcement. I'm hoping that the device is as it is being said, or else they may have some issues staying afloat...
Amazon Kindle 2 no longer rumored for this holiday season, according to rumor (Engadget)
Nov 25th 2008 1:34PM Have you seen the review over at Gizmodo? It's pretty much what I feared with it, the screen picks up way to much glare, and really isn't going to be good for outside or high light usage. Other than that, I really like the way it looks.
Overall, I really like the thinking behind the Kindle. There would be some things that I would change, lower the price, tweak the design a little bit, but the biggest thing would be to add more books! And right now, being a law school student; I want my damn books to be e-books! I'm tired of lugging around all these damn books. If all my law school books were available for the Kindle, I would have one, or at least have on order already...
Engadget's Holiday Gift Guide: for him (Engadget)
Nov 25th 2008 8:44AM Hmmm, I've never had an issue with any Harmony remote. Simple to set up, assuming you know what TV and dvd player you have. I'm on my third remote (the first is at my parents, I left it when I moved out; the second my ex took with her), and I will probably continue with them unless I use another somewhere else, and its awesome.
The only one negative that I have with it, and really all universal remotes (so far) is that there isn't two way communication, ie - the remote doesn't know if the TV is turned on or not.
GSM-only BlackBerry Storm clears the FCC (Engadget)
Nov 3rd 2008 6:09PM I will be in line waiting that day.
And that's coming from a guy who walked into a store the day of launch, asked if they had an iPhone, was told no, walked into the store the day of the price drop, walked into a store, asked again, and walked out with the phone. It's a great phone, but I will drop it for the Storm in a heartbeat.
'Love, Carl' Spurs Edwards, Harvick Scuffle (Fanhouse Motorsports Blog)
Oct 10th 2008 10:16AM Any respect I had for Carl Edwards is out the window, (esp after the Kenseth incident).
I'm glad that there are drivers that go out there and race for the entire race, and not just sit back and wait for the last 20 to do something. Those drivers sitting back deserve to stay back there for the finish too. I don't pay money to see the races to watch my driver sit back and chill, I pay to see my driver run the race and try to get a good position for the most part of the race.
And I'm not surprised at all that when the drivers did start to move up in the field that one or more of them got into trouble. They haven't been in the three wide stuff all day, and suddenly they are trying to be in it, the cars are different in the pack, and on different days. If Carl had been up front for longer in the day, maybe he'd felt that condition earlier and may not have caused the wreck.
As far as the fight, I'm surprised that Harvick turned away from it. How many confrontations have we seen him back away from? But at the same time, when Edwards (who is a big guy) kept on, Harvick pushed the guy down. The Carl Edwards sized dent in the hood makes me laugh a little bit, and the headlock is priceless...
Girls kissing girls - and liking it? (ParentDish)
Aug 26th 2008 10:22PM So...this is the newest crusade huh? Instead of promoting something, lets say responsible parenting, we're gonna go after this song? Fantastic.
The song is just that - a song. Talk to your kids, and guess what? They've already moved on to the next and newest song. This song was popular for a minute or two, and she's already got a new single out, and there are new songs that are really popular, so let's calm down, maybe act like we're adults, and I think we'll all see that it's alright for a little music.
And yeah - I like the song...
