Sep 4th 2010 9:40AM All season long I've had this growing feeling of dissatisfaction that I couldn't quite discern (including a cringe every time the story turned to Tara). Thanks for clearing it up for me! Your observations are right on!

Btw, while it's a general truism that the book(s) on which a movie or TV series is based is better, this is becoming especially true for TB. The books have direction to them and are far more engaging than the misguided muddle the series seems to be headed.

Apr 1st 2010 8:50AM TV viewing - very much like reading - is about immersion: Forgetting about your own life for a little while and being drawn in to the drama. All these pop-ups and corner-promotions ruin the illusion for me - the red "V" especially so. I was on the fence about continuing with V and this stunt is just about the final nail in the coffin.

Aug 26th 2009 4:49PM I can't even watch network news live anymore. It's a constant barrage of pharmaceutical commercials. Nowadays I use my DVR to watch the news later, when I can scan thru the commercials.

The smushing was for the benefit of the potato chips she placed on the cheese.
