This entire list smacks of pure payola. If they pay you $$ to make a post, at least advertise it as such. Geez, even Gawker at least does that!

Jan 20th 2010 2:18PM Dave's right... What Jay said doesn't hold water. Why would NBC still have Jay under contract if they knew 5 years in advance the date that he'd retire?

What's more likely is that NBC had a 12-month non-compete clause on Jay, and he was just too impatient to wait it out before Jay went to Fox. And if he'd had an agent, he wouldn't have had that clause to begin with.

Nov 13th 2009 5:26AM True. In order to split votes, you need to have an *overwhelming* majority. Basically, you need to have double the # of votes, +2 more.

So, 8-4 is not enough, because a split would give a 4-4-4 tie, and canceling Foa Foa votes would ensure a 4-4 tie between 2 Galu.

At 8-3 Galu, you could split it. That would yield 4-4-3, and if they canceled one group of 4, the other 4 would stick, and its 4-3 Galu.

Oct 26th 2009 1:55AM I have been on a waterslide about that size. And trust me, its a blast!

It's a great way to get *over* your fear of heights, because its really not that bad. On the "Crazy Stuff Amazing Race Makes You Do" danger scale (1 being wandering crowded markets, 10 being skydiving), I'd give the water slide a 6.

If I were Cannan, I'd have serious trust issues w/ Mika from then on. I'd keep thinking to myself, "If you can't go down a stupid waterslide for $1 mil, what else *won't* you do?". Cannan is a bigger man than I.
