Farewell, Internet (Download Squad)

Apr 12th 2011 7:51PM Sad to see DownloadSquad go. I helped put together the original design when the site came into existence. The creators wanted it to go from a 2-column layout to 3-columns. When I was done and the site went online, I found out that I enjoyed visiting every day and made it one of my frequent visits on the internet. I'll be sad to see DownloadSquad go. Not often do you find sites like this with the kind of coverage it had.

Must-have Firefox 4 add-ons for Chrome and Internet Explorer converts (Download Squad)

Mar 22nd 2011 5:17PM Normally I'd find it hard to believe Mozilla would pay websites to advertise their browser, but Chrome is stealing most of their thunder (and fans) and then I read an article on here that reads like an advertisement.

Both Firefox and Chrome are great browsers, they both have most of the same extensions or functionalities from extensions, and both have exclusive extensions that the other doesn't have. It all really comes down to personal preference.

Google introduces Chrome extension to block search spam (Download Squad)

Feb 14th 2011 4:13PM Until they implement the actual blocking of spamsites in their result listings, I'll continue using DuckDuckGo: http://duckduckgo.com/

The best Google Reader mod becomes a Safari extension (Download Squad)

Jun 12th 2010 2:02PM Another great Google Reader userstyle/extensions for Chrome is called Sublime Reader. Check it out here: https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/jbhkdhkngalchoobjfiobbjobnbpfgmg?hl=en

Uvumi builds a community for musicians and fans - Interview + tour (Download Squad)

May 31st 2010 9:41AM A couple already mentioned The Sixty One, an excellent source of good music. However, another fantastic source of great music is WeAreHunted.

http://wearehunted.com/

By default, it lists all the most popular songs that people are talking about (on Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, etc.) There are other options, but the one on the homepage is the best source of what's popular now. You won't find many on the Billboard's Top 50 though, these are actual good songs.

Imaging tip: Bulkr lets you backup your Flickr photos... and more! (Download Squad)

May 14th 2010 12:00AM Flickr probably wasn't the first with the vowel-omission domain name, but it was probably the first for many people based on its meteoric rise in popularity shortly after it opened up to the public. With domains being taken up more and more, people are having to get more creative with their domain names. Flickr was one such inevitable way.

Tebow Injury Feeds Notion: Chaotic Year Upon Us (Fanhouse - Jay Mariotti)

Sep 30th 2009 8:49PM You want confusion and chaos, but real college football fans want good games of smash-mouth football without the confusion and chaos. Of course you want chaos, if you're not a fan of college football and just like writing sensational articles to bring in viewers.

This article was a reminder why I largely avoid Fanhouse in the first place. It has quickly become the TMZ of sports.

Heisman Situation Suitably Uncertain (Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog)

Sep 30th 2009 8:35PM Tebow will recover in time to play against LSU. He will be vintage Tebow and lead the Gators to a big win. He will win the Heisman, again. He will win a national championship, again. He will go on to the NFL to become a superstar.

Why? Because he's Tim Tebow. People say he's no Superman because he was knocked out. Which makes all his accomplishments even more impressive, since he is just a human kid.

Tebow's Concussion Hits Home for Former Gator Star Brantley (Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog)

Sep 30th 2009 8:29PM Excellent article, I enjoyed reading it. I hope Tim Tebow has a speedy recovery and goes back to being vintage Tebow as soon as he is able.

Also, I wish Scot Brantley the best. I hate to hear he's suffering from those mini-strokes. The Brantleys are as Florida Gators as anyone can get.

If anyone deserves to follow in the footsteps of Tim Tebow, John Brantley is the man. I look forward to him starting, as I know he's going to be absolutely superb.

Go Gators!
