Obama Nixes National Prayer Day Event (Asylum)
May 6th 2009 10:34PM I'm just sick of what people say the "Atheists" say, as if there is a governing body for non-believers. I'm a "non-believer", deist, what ever you may say, and I have never heard of a governing body, like the Vatican, for my beliefs. You know why... because there isn't any.
Also Prayer is a form of meditation and meditation doesn't necessarily require a God. So it just doesn't make sense why anyone would be mad with this it is completely non-partisan. No one is being forced to practice anything, it is just acknowledging the thousands of people practicing any philosophy with which prayer or meditation occurs in our nation.
I completely agree with Jeff why can't people just be happy they can practice what they wish.
