Jan 26th 2011 1:58PM Another thing I've only noticed in the past few days is that Apple has recently put Omniture tags on their site. For years I've been wondering when would they finally get a Web Analytics platform on Apple.com, and it seems the time has finally come.
Jan 19th 2011 4:35PM I'm pretty sure the answer to this question is "no", but will changing my texting plan extend my two year contract?
Dec 15th 2010 3:00PM Seriously! Any better movie blogs out there? Is /film any good?
Dec 15th 2010 10:04AM Great article. However, I must comment that every time I click a link to Moviefone I am extremely disappointed I do, and end up copying and pasting the name into IMDB.com. It's such a superior site it's ridiculous. For example I wanted to see the other movies that David O. Russell has directed. Thinking that moviefone should AT LEAST have this information, I decided to go against my instincts and click through. Boy was I disappointed. I clicked Filmography and a list of 10 films appeared, two of which were Anchorman: Ron Burgundy-related. Hmm. Knowing that Cinematical wouldn't lie to me, I did the smart thing and quickly switched to IMDB.com for more info. This MUCH superior site not only showed me the other films Russell has directed, but also how he was involved with Anchorman (E Producer). Shame on AOL for forcing Cinematical to link to moviefone, and shame on AOL for even thinking that moviefone is playing the same game as imdb.com. I wish there was a greasemonkey script out there that'd simply replace all moviefone links to imdb.com links. Hmm, I'm going to try and find one now...
Nov 23rd 2010 11:50AM Yep, I had this problem, noticed it this morning before I left for work (luckily). I tried restarting my iPhone4, no such luck. I resync'ed and the problem figured it self out. Phew!
Nov 21st 2010 2:14PM I thought the episode was hit and miss. One quick throwaway at the end made me laugh out loud though - "You guys want me to shotgun this?""Oh no! She meant the pizza!!"(shot of Liz folding the pizza up so she can shove it down her throat)Hilarious.
Nov 11th 2010 2:40PM Too bad the Ping interface is still TERRIBLE!
Nov 2nd 2010 5:09PM Unfortunately, you can't use Dropbox or anything like that to play with VLC. The way this app works is you have to transfer your movie files to your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch through iTunes' App File Sharing. This sucks because then all the files are taking up space on your limited flash drive. I wish we could copy and paste a URL into VLC and it then streams the video. Makes much more sense and is much more useful. Big time meh for this app
Oct 18th 2010 10:25AM @Ben Carlson - the guy on the video does mention that this will happen, and he also mentions that it's something Google is working on solving. Omniture resolves this by requesting a separate variable name for each link (they call it the Object ID for ClickMap) and it's ... not ideal. Hopefully Google can come up with a more easily implementable solution.
