No DRM for Prince of Persia retail PC game (Big Download)
Dec 14th 2008 2:38AM This will not be an accurate test as to wheather people pirate games because of DRM or not. I just bought the game. On the back cover in a yellow box at the bottom it states:
"Notice: This game contains technology intended to prevent copying that may conflict with some disc and virtual drives."
If Ubisoft is seriously trying to get a benchmark on how many people pirate because of DRM, they should really state that the game is DRM free on the back of the box, otherwise no one besides us forum dwellers will ever know.
The editor-in-chief giveaway: Win Ryan Block's gadgets (Engadget)
Aug 23rd 2008 12:25PM Now This is definitely my kind of contest. The prize...is a random pile of tech stuff. That is awesome. Whoever gets it is going to have days of fun toying around with all of that new stuff!
Popcorn Hour's A-110 HD media streamers gets hands-on treatment (Engadget)
Aug 13th 2008 7:18AM I'm still totally happy with my A-100, an A-110 would be useless for me since I still connect to my TV via RCA. I will definitely look into the A-110 if I ever get a TV with HDMI.(I have a 20" widescreen on my computer hooked up via DVI, so that is where I watch my HD content, and I use my A-100 for whenever someone wants to watch a movie on the TV.)
SATA harddrives is also a very nice feature, I had to buy an IDE especially for my A-100 because all I have sitting around are SATA, which will make it easier to switch to the A-110 in the future.
Are iPhone 3Gs developing cracks? (Engadget)
Jul 30th 2008 6:38AM see how much people care about apple products?
they'd rather have a grammar war than speak of anything related to apple.
Rumor: PSP-3000 adds built-in mic, PS button [update] (Joystiq)
Jul 22nd 2008 11:13AM RMVB support?!
who actually uses that format anymore!?
I haven't seen a video in that format in at least 5 years.

Jul 18th 2008 9:15PM Lots and lots of COD4.
and when my friends that have crappy computers want to play something, I play some good old starcraft with them. Idiots don't know what they're missing by having 360s instead of good PCs....we could be playing sins of a solar empire or supreme commander FA instead of starcraft :[
(you'd think since they all love RTS games they'd go the pc route? *sigh* Halo is just too popular....)
Media Player Classic Home Cinema Edition: All in one media player (Download Squad)
Jul 11th 2008 9:05PM I use the MPC in the CCCP (Comunity Combined Codec Pack - http://www.cccp-project.net/) and it has played EVERYTHING I've throw at it.

Jul 9th 2008 6:09PM What he is saying obviously works for MMORPGs, and there are already MMOs in the US that use that model, but I can't see this system working for a FPS or a single-player RPG such as mass effect.
Frontlines: Fuel of War Beta Demo now available (Big Download)
Jul 8th 2008 10:52PM How is this a beta?
the real version of the game is out...shouldn't the demo just be a version of the game with restrictions on maps, weapons, game types, and no single player?
Crysis Warhead to be sold for $29.99 (Big Download)
Jul 8th 2008 10:49PM I will not be buying this "stand alone continuation".
Crytek decided to cancel the next patch for Crysis to work on a this "continuation" to make some money. I can safely say I don't care about the story of Crysis at all. I bought the game for the multiplayer, and if Crytek is the kind of company that will stop fixing multiplayer problems just because they want to focus on their next game so they can bring in more money, I do not want to purchase their games.
