What Christians and Muslims Can Learn From the 'The Saint and the Sultan' (Politics Daily)

Oct 2nd 2009 11:39AM Comparing Osama Bin laden to Saladdin is just plain wrong. Saladdin and al-Kamil were true muslims and men of honor. Osama and his ilk in al-Qaida are not muslims by their actions and are hijacking Islam for their own means. Majority of muslims scholars of today would not define Osama as being a muslim. He's a criminal period.

Atomic Iran: A Diplomatic Riddle More Than a Military Challenge (Politics Daily)

Jun 23rd 2009 11:57AM Good article. One other reason a military strike against Iran would fail is that in 1981 Israel DID achieve a complete tactical surprise with the strike. Today with the entire world talking about it Iran would be stupid (and they are not) to not beef up its defences. The Irani Air Force does operate MiG-29s whom any Israeli strike force would have to counter. Not to mention the batteries of SAMs the nuclear sites must be littered with.

Private Equity ... in Pakistan? (BloggingStocks)

Jan 26th 2007 2:16PM Political situation is not that shaky as the media perception would have you think. The GDP growth numbers are correct and real -- check out the backpage of The Economist.

Jimmy speaks: Future of Wikipedia is Quality; WYSIWYG is coming to Wikipedia; Bio Pages are a problem (hello?!); Fair Use of Images Debate rages on (The Jason Calacanis Weblog)

Aug 5th 2006 7:23AM Another problem Wikipedia does not solve is Neutral Point of View (NPOV) - e.g. check out the plethora of articles about India-Pakistan history and you'll be greeted with the "NPOV of this article is disputed" sign. Different POVs are a GOOD thing but then Wikipedia just becomes a discussion group a la soc.culture.* from the good old Usenet days.

Rumor Alert: AOL to attempt MySpace assault (Download Squad)

Apr 20th 2006 2:10PM All, just to point out, the original "rumor" was carried by BusinessWeek back in January: http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/06_05/b3969023.htm

Dave Winer: AOL to take on MySpace. (The Jason Calacanis Weblog)

Apr 20th 2006 8:57AM Well Jordan I wouldn't call it confirmation confirmation but as Marc puts it, if BusinessWeek reported it ... there's gotta be something. (AIMSpace as BusinessWeek reported was the "internal codename" of the project).
