Drudge: Universal Music will not renew iTunes contract (TUAW.com)

Jul 2nd 2007 7:04AM There is only one thing Apple should do.. cut out the music studios completely let artist sell direct through iTunes, no contracts, no exclusivity, and lower prices.. this would destroy universal, emi, sony etc, its what they deserve for robbing us for the last 20 years.

UK drivers change lanes to outsmart SPECS speeding cameras (Engadget)

Oct 16th 2006 12:40PM Haha cool, so now were going to have people randomly swapping lanes as well as breaking right in front of the camera. I hope it works.. at least its better than the it cant see you if your doing 170+ theory.

If they really want to stop speeding they need to have proper sentences for running down & killing someone.. not a £250 fine and a slap on the wrist like you see now.

TV standby buttons to be outlawed (Engadget)

Jul 14th 2006 4:20PM There is a very simple solutions for this..

The devices do not need 240v when in standby, if they used a battery backup whilst in standby it would solve all the energy consumption problems.
Most of the energy used is lost transforming the voltage down to a couple of volts to the standby light & circuits - so why not charge a battery & use a couple of volts to power this?

Why they can't figure this out I do not know.
