iLife, iWork apps to sell individually in Mac App Store (TUAW.com)

Oct 24th 2010 10:32AM Looks to me that iWork (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote) apps are $19.99 each. Added together, that's only $59.97. Does this mean we'll also see a price drop on iWork, down from $79?

Oct 24th 2010 10:25AM Sorry, this comment should be deleted. It's a 1Password misfire.

I've changed my settings so it shouldn't happen again... =)

iLife, iWork apps to sell individually in Mac App Store (TUAW.com)

Oct 24th 2010 10:18AM I've been thinking about this lately.... And I've decided that I really don't care much.

As a life-long PC owner, I've purchased two Macs in the past year. And I love them. I've been happy with my PCs in the past -- when you get a new one that still runs like a champ, it's great. However, my Macs make me smile. I absolutely love using them.

Maybe it's an intangible thing that can't be easily explained to those that just want to look at prices. And maybe those people will NEVER "get it". I really don't care. I get it.

Jul 18th 2009 4:04PM Awesome! Are you coming back for the social media conference, IOWAtasmic 2009, in September? It's being held in Mt. Pleasant. Seriously.

Jul 18th 2009 4:01PM I'm too poor and ugly to be snobbish, but I am a business owner... So I must be slow. (Nobody in their right mind would start a computer store these days. Ha!)

Falling in love all over again with the Mac Classic iPhone case (TUAW.com)

Jul 7th 2009 1:21PM I wouldn't mind a MacBook Pro slip case in the same fashion!

Manage your iPhone's clipboard with Snippets (TUAW.com)

Jul 6th 2009 11:50PM The magic occurs when you open the app and view a snippet. The text you see in the white box is copied to the iPhone's clipboard automatically so that you can close Snippets, open another app, and then paste it (via normal procedures).

Also, I agree that a cloud-based syncing feature would be a great addition. Another would be the ability to open some common apps like Mail, Notes, and Messages, directly from within Snippets.

Create unique avatars and contact pics with Persona (TUAW.com)

Jun 30th 2009 3:13PM I agree with you that you certainly need to try out an app before writing a review. It's annoying to see "reviews" that do nothing but rehash another person's writing. And I can assure you that TUAW bloggers do *not* do that sort of thing.

The screenshot included with the story was that of my personal iPhone's display, and the simply amazing avatar in said screenshot was my original creation. =) I thoroughly tested the app and used its features before beginning to write the review post.

However, you are correct, I didn't "buy" the app. The developer provided a NFR copy of the app for reviewing purposes, so I didn't go through the normal process of purchasing it through iTunes. After publishing the story, I talked with Mr. Bozzelli who promptly corrected his web site. Hence, the update to the post.
