Google to buy Apple? The rumor has been launched (BloggingStocks)

Jun 21st 2007 3:32PM You know what? This is exactly what Pearly Gates deserves, especially after Vista.

It would be what a lot of people would like, especially if it involved the production of a version of OSX which ran on a Dell. And extra-especially if that was offered as a free download.
Jobs could offer it to cyberspace like Robert Johnson giving the world The Blues. Upgrades? Over to the brave boys of Linux.
What would be the point of Windows then?
Sleepless In Seattle? Don't ask.

The Elephant Vanishes (The Digital Photography Weblog)

Apr 6th 2006 9:00AM Just be sure to get permission to take photogrpahs of the Elephant & Castle from any vantagepoint, or the security gurds will rush up the steps and try to steal your camera.

This happened to me 2 years ago. I was photographing a concerned local activist outside the centre, on the new Kent Rd, outside the boundaries of the centre, when I was rushed by at least 5 security guards who tried to take my camera and then to drag me into the building.

I managed to crouch down and hold on to the railings, in front of a large crowd of people, and called for the police until they came.

I tried to press charges, but in spite of several witnesses, CCTV footage and the existence of mobile phone footage of the event, the police refused to take the matter further.

It seems that property owners can now intimidate photographers at will, no matter how public the building.
