Apr 2nd 2011 7:26PM Hmm. I "liked" you guys on Facebook, but use a feed reader so everything you post just spams my Facebook page. So I have you blocked on my FB news feed. Now how am I supposed to know when new things are posted on the Equus??? I figure I'd rather have the single point of contact through my news reader.
Mar 17th 2011 3:13PM spin cycle - Tell us, how do you get into the back seat?
Mar 17th 2011 2:56PM The revolutionary idea here is the form factor - narrow enough that two cars could fit in each lane. If that idea reached mass adoption we could significantly reduce traffic problems. We could almost double the space for cars on the road, with nothing more than changing some laws and maybe repainting the lines. If it was coupled with Google's automated driving system commuting could become an entirely different experience. I could see a future where we trust our car to automatically drive our children to soccer practice itself. Where maybe each person in the family including children have their own car (you should be able to fit several into a regular garage). Where there are lanes that favor these 1/2 lane cars, with maybe even an inductive charging loop under the pavement so we're not lugging around these heavy batteries. Where we consider commuting as something different from driving, because driving is reserved for places and times when it's really fun to drive.Otherwise, it's old technology - lead acid batteries, DC propulsion (I believe that means no regen braking), heavy weight at over 3,000 pounds. I guess the problem is the cost.Oh, and I want to know how you get into the backseat without being a contortionist!
Mar 14th 2011 12:50PM Well, since there's no banking and it's a street course, shouldn't it be one of their F1 cars racing on it?!?
Mar 9th 2011 10:07PM It needs a maple leaf paint scheme. Really, I'm serious.
Jan 31st 2011 1:19PM I figure they didn't run the new car at Sebring because they didn't want Peugeot to get a glimpse of it's performance.
Jan 18th 2011 5:28PM US Top Gear found their identity. Each one has been better than the last. And this week's show is the best by far. They had a Detroit 3 pickup challenge in Alaska. It oozed of American awesomeness, which is a lot for me to say!
Jan 3rd 2011 7:51PM Will the SRX Turbo be one of those cars that people pine after once it's gone. Like the GMC Cyclone, Aircooled Porsche's or the SHO? You know those cars where people ask "Why did they stop making it?" or "All Porsche's are great, but the aircooled ones are the best".
Dec 30th 2010 4:21PM Odd to make a coupe out of a car brand that's best known as a car to be chauffeured around in.
Dec 14th 2010 10:07AM Surely there will be a lengthy EULA agreement you'll have to click through before joining each roadtrain!
