A phone's features are not usually locked into a data plan (unless it's a provider feature like Verizon's GPS stuff). Simply fiddle with the phone's settings or download an app that disables the 3G communication. You will not loose any of the phone's features.

Mar 27th 2009 12:12PM Apple fanboys, go ahead and buy your $2000-3000 computers. They're really worth the money and are top-notch quality. The problem is that you're buying a computer to last a long time. I'll have purchased 3 computers in the life of your 1. With the rapid evolving computer market, buying a computer for the long-term just isn't a good investment. Of course, unless you have the money (damn economy).
