EU: Buy a year of PlayStation Plus, get 3 months free (Joystiq)

Apr 24th 2011 2:28PM I bought PS+ on the promise of proper in game audio chat features, they never delivered so I won't be renewing my PS+ this time, as much as the free content did make it value for money, the social aspect of the PS3 is not complete and does not come close to competing with XBL, I believe Sony will only deliver a fully fledge social gaming experience by the time PS4 comes about.

Personally though I have lost interest in gaming altogther so I sold my PS3 yesterday, XBOX 360 went a couple of months ago. I might get back into it when the PS4 comes about haha, cya guys!

Sony issues more court documents in hacking case, GeoHot's lawyer responds (Joystiq)

Jan 13th 2011 5:39PM @Bardbarian With custom firmware design comes great responsability, and you don't know what the developers could code into there to send your details elsewhere.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy custom firmware and reap the benefits of certain homebrews and developments. But I would be damned to put any personal info on there if I was to install it.

Jan 13th 2011 4:19PM @Bardbarian I know it is crazy that these are the people that we trust with our information. My PS3 hasn't been online for a long time. Hasn't even been turned on if I am honest. With the hacking etc I would probably be inclined to take my details of there anyway.

Jan 13th 2011 4:16PM @MrAhh of course. You are such a knowlegable and intelligent person, I am so sorry for the mistakes I have made I feel like such a terrible person. I will go away and think about my actions.

If I was a hacker I wouldnt be posting here I wouldn't have thought. I never claimed to know how to use the letters and numvers as you so cleverly put it, I was simply pointing out the massive error that had been made by Sony's Laywers by making the code public domain meaning there for it is freely distributable.

Clearly you didn't understand what I was doing here and you sir are an idiot.

Jan 13th 2011 3:34PM Sony messed up themselves and didn't disguise the key in one of the legal documents THEY released, which means it's now public domain anyway.

Twitter.com @KaKaRoToKS

Sony's Second Epic Fail. See page 247 of Court Document 4 (Exhibit T). No need for TRO, The keys are now public domain! Thanks Sony! haha!

Report: Sony could remotely disable jailbroken PS3s (Joystiq)

Jan 12th 2011 6:54AM Doesn't seem a viable option to me. They can and should be able to ban, that goes without saying. I won't lie I have utilised these hacks my self, Sony has to respond and protect they're capital in terms of the piracy side of thing's which is not my area of interest.

These reports that get sent to Sony on the start up I am sure in time could be compromised by the hacks and doctored to send only the information we want Sony to see, and anything else could/would be falsified. I read something recently that someone did come across this information so the location then is known. Might take a lot more work than someone would assume to be able to modify it, but I doubt that it is totally impossible. Not only that even if we didn't falsify it, we would just find ways to disguise what we are using by making the apps send different information to the log which would make it look legit.

Driver: San Francisco video walkthrough shows the art of car possession (Joystiq)

Jun 22nd 2010 4:27PM I wish I could edit my previous post, the grammer is poor, but it makes sense anyhow, you know what I mean.

Don't get me wrong here btw, it does look "interesting" but if they where ever going to reclaim this franchise, they have really messed it up and took away any credability. Because it's just no longer believable. Although I went off this game after Driv3r, that was just poor.

Jun 22nd 2010 4:23PM Because, earlier in the game he was in an accident that put him into a coma? Well then what is the purpose of everything that you are doing in the game if it to no real incentive because it's not real anyway?

It detracts from anything that you was supposed to be working towards before it happens, and although yes, you have all these new features and "powers" (which makes me wonder how we are expected to belive Turner doesn't realise it's not real because he is now like a super hero who can shift from vehicle to vehicle.) it makes the game false from what it has ever been in the past, becasuse it goes from gritty action cop game, to fantasy.

Jun 22nd 2010 7:02AM I don't get the story line at all. So he is in a coma right, so he isn't out at all doing any of these things, it's a dream? Then whats the point.

Shift feature? I can only see this making the game to easy, every time I'm in a chase and I spin out my car, I don't have to do all the work of catching up again, I just switch.

I like the original Driver on the PS1, I was a bad guy and happy.
