The New 'Avatar' Blu-ray: Is It Worth the Purchase? (Moviefone Blog)
Nov 18th 2010 2:14PM ...belongs on your shelf, until Cameron reaches into your pocket *again* when he finally releases the 3D version.
To say he isn't shilling, when it's obvious that he's waiting for a large enough market penetration of 3D TVs that he can make a splash as the fastest selling 3D film of all time is pretty weak.

Sep 8th 2010 5:09PM "Either way, you have to admit one thing -- it looked amazing"
I'll admit no such thing! The sets were often sparse and the final battle dull. Add a retro-fitted 3D effect on top of that and it was one of the least 'amazing' looking Burton films. Edward Scissorhands looked amazing. Alice looked awful.

Watch This: Kodak Tests Color Film Footage in 1922 (Cinematical)
Aug 25th 2010 5:15PM Absolutely - I understand the differences in technology, but to say that there were no color features until the mid 30s is still untrue. Things become more refined over time (as is the case with the technology for presenting 3D films), but it is still misleading to say that the experience wasn't available when the technology was less effective.
Watch This: Kodak Tests Color Film Footage in 1922 (Cinematical)
Aug 25th 2010 4:12PM I'm a little confused - I thought that there were much earlier color features released, such as The World, The Flesh and The Devil from 1914 (50 min runtime), shot in Kinemacolor. Still wonderful footage though.

Aug 16th 2010 2:25PM @Almo Films like Alice and Airbender were terrible post-production 3D experiences.
Star Wars Coming to Blu-Ray Fall 2011! (Cinematical)
Aug 15th 2010 1:34PM No chance that I'll be buying this. I only brought the DVDs of the original films because George, out of the goodness of his heart, gave us the Pan and bloody Scan letterboxed original versions in the same box.
George Lucas officially announces Star Wars on Blu-ray in 2011 (Engadget)
Aug 14th 2010 7:01PM @taiki Those aren't good versions. George screwed us over again. The Special Editions were anamorphic widescreen, the originals were letterboxed pan and scan. George wants us to forget the originals existed.

Aug 14th 2010 6:23PM @AckbarsFist Um, no. Walking out on the presentation would have registered my disgust. Not commenting would have registered nothing.
