'Doctor Who' Fever Hits Craig Ferguson. Plus: Win Season 5 on DVD! (AOL TV)
Nov 20th 2010 1:20AM As a long time fan, my answer to this question is that my favorite Doctor is the one I've last watched an episode -- I can't have a favorite, and in fact, at times, if I was really honestly going to answer this question, I could have answered any of the 11 at any time.
But since I just watched the first 5 episodes of The War Games, my official answer is Patrick Troughton.
And my preference is DVD
Rocky Horror 'Glee' Episode a Time Warp for Original Floor-Show Frank (ParentDish)
Oct 27th 2010 3:16PM Dori:
I don't know for certain, but your name sounds familiar to me, and I don't know why it would otherwise. I believe you told my boyfriend, who was dressed as Frank, that you liked his take on the costume. This would have been 10+ years ago, but I've heard the story enough times that I should recognize your name without the details you told your daughter (about being the first to dress up.)
Despite the fact that said boyfriend is also out of his Rocky Horror days, your compliment to him back then is still something he holds dear.
I've read a lot of criticism of last night's Glee episode, but as the loved one as someone who started out as Eddie because he felt fat and then transitioned to Frank and in-his-underwear Brad -- as well as the whole "feeling of outcasts" thing -- I found it pretty true to the experiences of some. (I won't say if there were tears at any point in our house to protect the privacy of some, but you can probably guess.)
Family TV Guide: 'Glee' (AOL TV)
May 25th 2010 2:27PM Good parents don't let other people decide what they let their kids watch. To put it in overdone terms, with this newest column, TV Squad has jumped the shark. All the incorrect information from writers is one thing, but if I wanted shit like this, I'd watch Sarah Palin on Fax. No offense to the writer, as I'm sure this is what you were asked to write -- but this is something I can't support; unsubscribing/unbookmarking.
'How I Met Your Mother' - 'The Wedding Bride' Recap (AOL TV)
May 18th 2010 9:05AM Thanks for transcribing these, Lyrrad. I didn't see all the slept with Barneys.
I also didn't see the trailer -- so like all other things released prior to episodes, this spoiler didn't spoil it for me. Jeez, folks, it's right there in the name, so I'm not sure we can complain about it :) I thought this meta-episode was fantastic and despite not enough of the rest of the gang and a waste of Judy Greer -- who would have made a great Mother, even if her character wouldn't have -- was exactly what I like about the show.
Like Ted, despite its cheesiness, it sometimes gets it exactly right.
Did 'Brothers & Sisters' Blow the Big Finish Season Finale? (AOL TV)
May 17th 2010 11:26AM Though most of it was really, really super hokey, the stuff with Saul rang true to me based on my experience. Lots of very brilliant men have done some irresponsible things in regards to HIV, especially when the closet is involved, even going so far into convincing themselves that it isn't something that they have to worry about. Likewise, the lie to the family members that a test you were worried about came back fine is very believable to me based on my own experience (but in my case, it was that I didn't want to ruin Christmas)
I just really hope they play that story out with continued realism. There a lot of people living full, healthy lives as positive gay men, many in Saul's age group. This could be a plus, even if it didn't necessarily start out that way, story note wise.
Whoopi's Teleprompter Goes Haywire on 'The View' (VIDEO) (AOL TV)
May 14th 2010 3:29PM Did I miss something regarding The View's status? I know ABC had discussed earlier this year but I thought it was still really an ABC show.)
(I'm not asking this to correct y'all; I'm really curious.)
Joel McHale, Sofia Vergara to Announce 2010 Emmy Nominations (AOL TV)
May 12th 2010 1:11PM I'd get up early and watch it, if they would finally find attractive, charismatic people to do the announcing of the nominees.
Kidding of course; if Joel and Sofia Vergara had babies, they would be genetically predisposed to be the the hottest, funniest people on the planet.
Still though, I'll probably just end up reading the announcements here and being disappointed that The Wire didn't get more nods.
(Yes, that's a joke too.)

Seven Shows That Could Use a Time Jump (AOL TV)
May 3rd 2010 2:53PM It's Brothers and Sisters, according to something I saw in my RSS feeder earlier but didn't actually read.
Phineas and Ferb references made me laugh.
Damon Lindelof Says 'Lost' Fans Will Still Have Questions After Finale (AOL TV)
Apr 29th 2010 5:39PM I'm glad that they've held everybody's hands enough through this season to say over and over again that the "flash sideways" would be explained. But Christ, anybody who needs it explained anymore than it already has been doesn't deserve the show to begin with.
