Green robot in an Armani suit: Ulysse Nardin Chairman upgraded with Android (Engadget)

Apr 21st 2010 5:19AM Why is this one of the only Android devices in this form factor? I'm still keep to hold onto some hardware buttons (specifically keypad-not qwerty)

Give me a slider any day, but if this weren't so damn ugly I'd even consider it...

Nice interface though, very old school...

HTC Desire Black Edition confirmed, coming to Orange UK in late April (Engadget)

Mar 29th 2010 9:44AM Damn, and there I was waiting for the start of April to order... now I'll have to wait another month!

Glad that it's coming to Orange, as I really didn't like the brown/gun metal black...

Bringit!

Jays to ship seven new earbuds this year, prestige x-JAYS included (Engadget)

Feb 18th 2010 8:12AM @samuelgibbs Really surpised you like your q-Jays....

I bought a pair of q-Jays - after the initial joy of the neutral sound, I realised that the use of filters to keep the drivers clear of crap was going to cause problems. You can't use them at the gym or after a shower, due to wet ears/warm wax causing the filters to block and ruin the sound.

After replacing the filters the 10th time I realised this was an expensive running cost for short lived quality... and the lack of bass was starting to get to me :P

When the left ear cable eventually went (being small ultimately meant the build quality suffered) I returned them to iheadphones.co.uk - who informed me that they'd stopped stocking Jays due to the poor build quality and resulting high returns.

So now I'm sporting the futuresonic atrio m5... have been very happy- build and sound quality has remained awesome, and they've been getting the exact same treatment as the q-Jays....

What this boils down to is, I've lost faith in Jays - so not really looking forward to their new products- I have very low expectations of what they'll bring out!

New Sony Ericsson Rachael UI video hits, still looks nothing like Android (Engadget)

Nov 2nd 2009 7:11AM Hopefully snapdragon can keep up... Looks lovely though :)

Very excited about this phone...

Archos phone tablet teased: Android, 4.3-inch touschscreen, 1GHz ARM processor (Engadget)

Sep 15th 2009 4:45PM Looks interesting, although I'll be waiting for more on the Sony Ericsson Rachel. I must say it's mainly for the fact the SE will likely have a better camera...

Google Chrome theme gallery opens with 29 themes, several blindingly ugly (Download Squad)

Aug 5th 2009 6:01AM Same problem here, Win 7 build 7100.

Windows Mobile 7 to be a premium, multitouch beast of a platform (Engadget)

Aug 3rd 2009 7:13PM When he came out with the line about it not needing to be pretty, I think he's forgotten the reason why Apple are doing so well.

Ease of use and a pretty interface.

Android all the way, WinMo is dead to me.

Jimmy Fallon rocks out with Project Natal (Engadget)

Jun 13th 2009 12:50AM Speaking of lag, looks how out of sync the picture is in comparison to the avatar... it'll be fun for about as long as the Wii, but what I'm worried about is they will make it confusing for consumers as possible.

Microsoft's beta My Phone service for Windows Mobile now free to all (Engadget)

May 19th 2009 5:46AM Honestly, I left WinMo a while back - On symbian now but about to jump to Android (Samsung Galaxy...ohh yeah)

Anyway, this is too little too late - Microsoft had the potential of a great platform, and if integrated properly (without a reliance on Outlook) could have won the consumer market... I appreciate the business market is more lucrative, but look where they are now - win the general public otherwise you fall flat on your face!

It's good they're catching up, but with such a lead you'd have thought this would be a standard feature years ago.

Apr 30th 2009 4:52PM Urgh, that computer is the ugliest thing I've ever seen - when I first saw it I was amazed it got released!

Amazing it's still their flagship....
