Dev Chair : Geeks are not Apple's target with the iPhone (Download Squad)

Jul 17th 2007 6:59PM It would've been really fun if it had an "expert mode" that you could switch to, and then use it like a true handheld computer. Because its a nice piece of hardware, while software.. eeeh.. well you did a really good description of it :)

Most probably hackers will get through all the locks and let us geeker people use it like we should, and maybe the future iPhones could have such a feature?..

Some theory behind Mac OS X's menubar (Download Squad)

May 12th 2007 2:43PM "you can always look to the very top left of your display to find out exactly which app you're in"

This is what I don't like about the Mac OSX interface and its "only 1 menu bar for all opened windows" concept, you actually need an icon in there to remind you which window are using..

I really wish the Osx UI could be more customizable.

MPAA says it's committed to fair use, interoperability, and, uh, DRM (Engadget)

Apr 27th 2007 10:32AM to Chicksta :

There already is something better, its called good old clean drm-free DVDs and CDs and been sold for over 10 years.

... I've bought two DVD recently that just wouldn't play either in my computer NOR MY DVD PLAYER because of that stupid DRM. Do I need to tell you I'm not going to buy DVDs for a while?

MouSing - virtual theremin (Download Squad)

BSOD ScreenSaver from Microsoft (SysInternals) (Download Squad)

Nov 12th 2006 3:33PM Buggy: even better, if you run if off Windows 2000 it shows you the Windows 2000 startup screen. It seems to know pretty much on the system for a screensaver :)

'Mr. Walkman' walks away (Engadget)

Nov 10th 2006 4:24PM Hmmm... I guess everyone has forgot the great Sony had stolen the Walkman idea from Andreas Pavel, he has won many lawsuits against Sony in the past 20 years, but its only last year that Sony admitted they didn't actually invent the Walkman, google it up if you don't believe me.

Respect to Nobutoshi Kihara for all his work, but he's not Mr. Walkman, Mr. Pavel is.

Windows Vista pricing leaked, and it's not pretty (Download Squad)

Aug 29th 2006 7:20PM Its funny I see more people here talking about switching to OSX instead of just staying with XP :).. You know who probably won't switch? Enterprises and corporations! I don't see any of them globally switching to Vista, not before a few years, when prices will fall, and bugs will be fixed. Because like everything new (EVEN OSX), there will be bugs.

Metallica available on iTunes (The Digital Music Weblog)

Aug 3rd 2006 9:27AM Napster never sold Metallica's music. Metallica got popular by encouraging people to trade mix tapes and concert bootlegs. They now shit on the people who do that. We shouldn't care about them anymore.

Intel shows pics of Community PC (Engadget)

Mar 31st 2006 8:44AM Why don't we just all send over our old but still good computers instead of putting them to the garbage. I'm tired of hearing corporate PR talking about selling poor countries stuff we are throwing away EN MASSE!
