Apple updates iTunes to 10.2.1 (TUAW.com)

"Just out of curiosity, what music management features would you like to see added? I've become so dependent on AppleScript to "fill in the gaps" that I've mostly learned how to contend with iTunes' shortcomings :)"

Love to see something that will check for new podcasts every 'X' number of minutes. Currently I have to walk over to the mac and manually do it and then go over to the ATV to watch 'em.

iTunes can automatically check for new podcasts every hour, day or week on an individual basis.

Apple's subscription model is boon to consumers, bad for publishers (TUAW.com)

Feb 18th 2011 12:36AM @ilkyone: Exactly. Uninformed consumers seem to think stores like to sell magazine and newspaper subscriptions at no profit to themselves.

Two New Jersey Apple Stores to open for non-retail activity on Sundays (TUAW.com)

Two New Jersey Apple Stores to open for non-retail activity on Sundays (TUAW.com)

Feb 2nd 2011 7:27PM @Felgerkarb: The "traffic" excuse is just that, an excuse. Technically, the blue law even forbids working from within the home on Sundays. It's an old set of (unconstitutional?) church-influenced laws that really needs to go. As someone who shops rather frequently in Paramus, I can tell you a) there's STILL traffic on 17 North on Sundays, b) Bergen Mall parking lot is still packed with cars on Sunday, c) you can still buy alcohol and housewares at Whole Foods in the afternoon on Sunday, d) traffic/parking is a nightmare at Garden State Plaza on Saturdays because people cannot shop on Sundays, and finally e) the traffic spills over to Willowbrook in Wayne on Sundays since they can't shop elsewhere.
Perhaps Paramus, the business center of Bergen county, should just be less greedy and not have 2-3 of everything. Paramus alone has, what, 5 malls? It also has 2 Panera's, 3 Starbucks, 2 Lord & Taylors, and a Target right down the road from an older one in Hackensack. What amuses me about the Sunday law is that, last year, Ridgewood was attempting to draw in more business by issuing loyalty cards to get repeat business at its stores.

Jan 11th 2011 8:42PM Try getting a call from your boss asking where an important document or email is and not being able to send it until after you hang up. Or, on a personal level, trying to find a restaurant to go to while on the phone with a friend. This annoyed the crap out of me when I had an EDGE-only iPhone.
