Ukrainian 4x4 unveiled by boxer Vitaly Klitschko (Autoblog)

Mar 15th 2006 6:12PM Actually there's already Ukrainian SUV's, LuAZ (luaz.com). In Russia there's UAZ (uaz.ru), famous for it's military jeeps, and the biggest Russian car maker (about million cars a year) AvtoVAZ, who make the Lada Niva, legendary for it's passability, which is still sold also in Germany (lada-auto.ru, lada.de). Then there's the GAZ Tiger, made for the special forces (http://www.gaz.ru/eng/avt/pers/2330/index.asp). There's also an upgrade of the old Niva, made with GM (gm-avtovaz.ru).

#10 There was (some still is) plenty of top quality Russian consumer stuff (some companies even predate the Soviets like Lomonosov china), optics (rugift.com), shortwave radios, musical instruments (also synths), car models (store.diecast.ru), toys, speakers (rrr.lv), calculators (http://www.taswegian.com/MOSCOW/contentsmk.html)...

The cars nowadays use plenty of import stuff, also from Germany (VDO and Bosch), from the ABS to Finnish fabrics.

I live in Finland, neighbour of Russia and the biggest trade partner.
