Giveaway: Two new Element carbon-fiber iPhone 4 cases (TUAW.com)
Jun 1st 2011 11:19PM All I had to do was sit down... and that crunching sound was the most heart rendering thing I had heard up to that point.
But it wasn't my phone... it was my friend. My iPhone was in my front pocket.
Of course, when I got up suddenly to help him out, I slammed it against the bottom of the tabletop. You can guess the rest. Sigh.

Mar 25th 2009 12:30PM I'm very pleased with Greenshot; SnagIt (for pay) is impressive but I keep finding that most of what I need can be done with Greenshot. Worth giving it a shot, esp. the portable version.
Help! How do I tidy up a disorganized hard drive? (Download Squad)
Nov 21st 2008 12:37PM Besides organizing, you often need to find where programs are dumping all their temps or downloaded files. http://windirstat.info/ is the home of WinDirStat, an open source program which shows you directories full of files, and lets you clean them up. Uses a TreeMap display which is very intuitive.

Jul 24th 2007 9:34PM Hmmm... there are many of these mashups out there, and this is one of the weaker ones. See, for example, http://www.findnearby.net/ which handles craigslist and ebay, as well as a collection of other convenience features.
Windows Explorer replacements abound (Download Squad)
May 15th 2007 9:13AM I 2nd the A43 comment. http://www.primitus.us/a43/ is a very impressive mix of file explorer tools and utils, and is a standard on every box I work on as well as every USB flash drive I use. Highly recommended.
