Dev Chair : My love-hate relationship with Apple development (Download Squad)
Feb 12th 2007 6:26PM Am I the only person who really disagrees with the content of this article? I hope not. It seems to be some strange assult on Apple because the poster is not familiar with Objective C, and Apple's developer tools. In my opinion, it has been approached from an unfair angle - would you find starting with Windows easier?
I doubt that. Apple deliver developer tools and documentation on the CD with all macs, so if you're curious you've got everything you need, even if you don't have internet connectivity.
Objective C is an "interesting" language, I agree - sharing principles with many languages such as smalltalk and C, while doing a bit of it's own stuff. However, once you understand how it works it's easily just as powerful as you want it to be.
All it takes is for people do the same thing as before, start reading around and learning... it won't code for you, but it's much easier than windows.
To wrap this comment up, I too am primarily a C# programmer, using Windows. I have a MacBook sat next to me, and I'm gradually getting into it more. Sorry if I got the wrong end of the stick, but I thought I'd voice my views.

Mar 7th 2006 4:20AM The person who managed to build an MacMini into his kitchen. That really showed some creative thinking and determination - not to mention was damn cool! Inspired me to do the same (time permitting) :)
