Steorn's Orbo device exploded -- for dissection, not the apocalypse (Engadget)

Jul 11th 2007 10:02AM Ohmigod! They're all Aliens! Don't y'all get it? That entire building is crawling with Them in human skins.

They've brought some source of energy down with them and now They're going to show it to us, dazzle us with it, and use it to control us. On The Day, all windows machines will BSOD and start controlling our minds. iPods will start sending subliminal signals to our ears, Zunes and iPhones will start networking Them and we'll all be doomed. I think They're waiting for the iPhone sales and activations to reach some pre-determined target, so they can send The Call out to enough of Their kind.

Investors? All sleepers! They've been sending down their kind for years, integrating them with us, so they can make it all look normal and hunky-dory till The Day. One day when the call goes out, they'll all jump on us and rob us of our juju. Ohmigod, ohmigod!

Pandora: The future of music (Download Squad)

Nov 28th 2006 7:02AM Pandora for my car would just rock!

I've been using Pandora regularly for a long time, and I find nothing that even comes close. The Pandora + last.FM mashup ( http://pandorafm.real-ity.com/ ) extends the experience to an even better level.

TenGO Alternative Input panel for Pocket PCs (Download Squad)

Jul 8th 2006 11:58PM I've been using tengo for about 4 months. It's really good. Tengo also has a 'mini' version built in, so once you get used to the basic input method, you can use the mini keyboard which is about just 2/3 the size of the regular keyboard. Tengo does not work properly with Opera for WM 2003 SE though. Pity. It's still worth buying.

Microsoft launches AdSense-alike adCenter (Download Squad)

May 5th 2006 3:04AM AHA! ..."sophisticated information about consumers, including their location, age, gender and sometimes, their level of wealth"...! So that's what their "Super Cookies" (http://www.downloadsquad.com/2006/05/04/microsoft-patents-super-cookies/) are going to be all about. Nice going Bill... Nicely planned roll-out of yer trickses...

Is this the XM satellite video player? (Engadget)

Mar 6th 2006 2:54AM Must be a fake. Knocked off a Samsung device for sure. I've seen that exact Ice Age shot somewhere before. And those earphones are definitely Samsung. Just looka at any Samsung mp3player ads or publicity shots. My Dad owns the white version of exactly those earphones (for a Yepp Player).
