with the new PDK and dynamic engine mount and all the shzzle porsche threw at the new turbo, the GT-R is still faster?? now that's a beast.

and to all you uneducated folks who bash the R8 for how pointless it is, remember, although the V10 R8 has roughly the same power output as the turbo's , as the video mentioned, it has a manual gearbox, any double clutch box can shave 0.1 ~0.2 seconds off the 0-60 time on these cars, so half a sec slower than the PDK turbo over a 1:14 lap? i wouldn't call that slow. AND, the 911 has the ceramic composite brakes(judging from the yellow calipers) , which the R8 doesn't have.
