Jan 29th 2010 12:22PM Apple did not buy Delicious Library but their designer. Mike Matas left Delicious Monster in 2005 and went to Apple. But it seems that he left Apple in July 2009.

Aug 15th 2008 3:38AM I bought the Bold a week ago in Germany and was able to sync Contacts etc. with the MissingSync and get the tethered modem working with some third party scripts.

Couldn't sync music because i have to buy a microSD card first in order to test this.

Feb 28th 2008 12:40AM The money is better invested into RemoteBuddy. At least for all those that happen to own a mobile phone and/or an iPhone/iTouch.

Especially the AJAX remote implementation of RemoteBuddy is just awesome.

iPhone open SDK coming after all? (Download Squad)

Oct 17th 2007 3:07AM I think that the sandboxing and application signing features of Leopard are a crucial ingredient for an iPhone/iTouch SDK.

This enables Apple to go the same road as JM2E and Symbian wrt. secure 3rdParty Apps.

The official iPhone development guide (Download Squad)

Jul 5th 2007 4:57PM Actually this document left some questions unanswered for me. Since i have to wait a bit till iPhones arrive in Germany, maybe somebody can answer theses questions for me:

* Is display: block in style sheets recognized while double-tapping?
* I there full RFC2806 support for the tel: URLs (e.g. pauses and touchtones???)
* Is the google maps app hardwired to the urls or mapped via MIME-types? If so which?

Dev Chair : Why is Safari on Windows? (Download Squad)

Jun 14th 2007 5:35AM Well may be the primary reason is to introduce a runtime platform that is agnostic to the underlying OS (be i Mac OS X, Windows, iPhone etc.) but under the control of Apple.

My guess would be that the development environment provided by Apple will still be MacOS X only, but they can say: Use whatever you want to develop.

I think the underlying idea is to provide something that in the long run that compares to AIR, Silverlight, OpenLaszlo, … etc in the RIA space and in the short run to enable developers to write widgets for the iPhone in the short run.

Yes, i believe that Apple is going to open up 3rdParty development for the iPhone and you can find my reasoning at http://relations.ka2.de/?p=178
