Video: Kids arrested for using SUV to waterski on Tennessee floodwaters (Autoblog)

May 5th 2010 10:04PM What ever happened to "Stop screwing around and go home..."

Do we really have to arrest everyone for everything now? Have the police really sunk to the lowest common denominator?

Apparently so.

Detroit 2010: Caption Contest - What the heck are Bob Lutz and Elon Musk talking about? (Autoblog)

(Silence) [Two Trickling Water Streams Heard]

Second Picture:

Musk: We better run before Fiskar catches us at his booth car...
P.S. Keep your eyes up next time old man.

Pandora finally gets social sharing, via Facebook and Twitter (Download Squad)

Oct 29th 2009 11:27AM Althought it's slow, facebook has been able to auto import Pandora for a while now. Click on settings or whatever is in the top right of the wall, then add in your Pandora info.

It is slow -- some of my stuff doesnt show for 8-10 hours, but it does song / artist bookmarks and station creation. With direct links. It's a lot cleaner than a share too.

Weight Fat Checker makes no bones about what it's here to do (Engadget)

Mar 5th 2009 5:56PM You guys (engadget) should get out of the house a little bit. They have been out for years... measure Body Mass Index (BMI). You input your height and weight on the screen, then the device sends/measures signals from one hand, out through your body, to the other hand through metal electrodes in the hand holds.

They've been on the market a lot longer than the Wii has....

HD Guru: Mitsu's LaserVue L65-A90 among the best HDTVs ever tested (Engadget HD)

Oct 23rd 2008 6:46PM Not to go all debbie downer, but contrast ratios are ratios. Kuro's arent about only the ratio, they also put a lot of stock in the absolute black level. You can have incredible contrast ratios and the blacks still look horribly grey. All you have to do is up the brightness output. Mr Guru uses all of 2 sentences to avoid talking about black levels with any real info. "Jet black" is the least informative phrase I've ever read.

VIDEO: Chrysler's new EVs in action (Autoblog Green)

Sep 24th 2008 5:54PM That Dodge EV looks like it would be incredibly easy to get to market...

The UQM stuff is all off the shelf, bodies and running gear are already available, all they would need is batteries in production quantity.

Amazingly simple little car. Seems a little back-heavy?

California may soon allow aftermarket exhausts for motorcycles (Autoblog Green)

Sep 9th 2008 2:35PM California is on the left-hand side of the continental US. Am I the only one who known geography, or am I the the only one without a political stick up my butt?

PS Fanboy Caption Competition: E3 Edition (Joystiq Playstation)

Jul 17th 2008 1:39AM I swear, just 5 pushups a day and you too can rock a belt like this. It doesnt look good on anyone else, but thats the magic of pushups.

Joystiq poll: Which of the Big 3 had the best E3 keynote? (Joystiq)

Jul 15th 2008 7:36PM This is the most excited I've ever seen people about a game delay. If FFXIII comes out on time, we're probably looking at 2 more E3's before then. I dont see any other reason for MS to announce it other than they wanted to kick sony in the teeth. Not exactly conduct becoming of the market leader they say they are. SqEn is losing money big time as others have pointed out.

Every demo MS did except for GeOW2 and maybe 2 others were multi plat games, so all they did is prove that the games will be ok on other systems too. Why would Sony waste any time in a presentation when MS covered all the 3rd party stuff for them?

Sony was pretty much exclusively first party stuff. Virtually everything was only available on playstation. Sony made a better pitch for their brand than anyone else. N was talking to investors. MS was talking to people who already own 360s. Sony seemed to hit the balance of talking to everyone.

VW decision on U.S. plant in July, sorry Michigan (Autoblog)

Jun 30th 2008 3:53PM TN & AL offer significant state tax incentives to auto manufacturers. The states as a whole brings in much less money from the auto maker than other states, but there is significant local impact from the plants.

Bottom line is that the states are willing to settle for less tax money in exchange for jobs and increased local impact.

Toyota is also in AL. I'm hoping these governors know Alfa Romeo is looking stateside again as well.
