Jul 24th 2008 11:08PM I actually got a shock from my iPhone 3G using it today when it was plugged into my Mac laptop charging. Only felt like a small amount of static shocks though when my ear touched the metal casing.

Danes claim to have "proven" iBook G4 logic board defect (Engadget)

May 10th 2007 10:24AM I had a G3 ibook with this issue. The logic board was replaced 4 times. The ibook now sits on a shelf un-usable because it happened again outside the extended repair programme.
I now have a Powerbook G4 still going strong (touch wood) and would hope this does not occur!

Dec 5th 2005 8:24AM #5 and #6 I also noticed the 15"PB getting rather warm, when charging or on Better performance power settings. Go and have a look at http://www.chillpak.com/ I ordered a couple, and hoping this will help when its sitting on my lap PS: I'm not affiliated with them - or the xfiles ;-P

Dec 5th 2005 8:18AM I'm kinda slightly annoyed as I got a brand new 15" G4 PB as well.. 4 weeks before the higher res/better battery/brighter screen was announced.... The good thing.. Its a lease laptop, so I'll be trading it in for a new iNTEL one come 2006 :)
