Engadget & Joystiq live from Nintendo's E3 2007 keynote (Engadget)
Jul 11th 2007 1:14PM My wife is all over Wii Fit. She already asked me when it hits retail so we can go pick it up. Props to Nintendo for finding innovative ways to enter new markets and capture markets that were ripe for the picking.
Nintendo Wii Zapper announced (Engadget)
Jul 11th 2007 1:00PM Seems like there is a button on the back of the front grip, where B is placed. You can just make out the button on one of the side shots above.
iPhone splayed for your pleasure (Engadget)
Jun 29th 2007 8:38PM The best thing about this is when we all start reading reports that people are ripping out the drives from their ipods and dropping into the iPhone. Instant 30-80GB worth of storage. Burn an image of the OS on the iPhone and drop it on the drive. All said and done. Soon, it shall happen soon.

Jun 27th 2007 4:53PM Sad intro. Honestly. Quote: "Sure they may be ignorant, and they may be the minority, but they are still people"
Is that the best you got? I work for a company that is based out of the South and help nothing but my neighbors down there on the phone all day with their sad little software issues. So if you'd like to go there, then by all means...lets. Otherwise get off your high horse and if you are going to attempt to write something funny then do a little bit more research on your neighbors from the North.
In addition, let us all remember that adage that ignorance is bliss and although we may be a minority we still get respected where ever our flag is displayed, which is more than what I can say about some other places in the world.

Dec 23rd 2006 12:57PM Love:
Wii size is great. I have it set up next to my 42" Samsung and it is sitting on my subwoofer. It looks like a little tower o' power standing tall on the sub, in all it's vertical glory.
Games are great! Zelda, Excite Truck, Monkey Ball and Wii Sports have kept me going since launch. Took me a bit to get used to the steering in Excite Truck but playing another driving/racing game is going to feel strange without the whole "look at me steering" aspect to it. Zelda, what can I say that hasn't been said already. It just rocks! Nothing comes close to Zelda.
Online stuff is always a nice addition. Feels strange to surf around online with the new Opera browser. Sure, it's limited but who cares. If you wanna surf more then go to your pc and do it. The forecase is a nice addition. VC is great, I've been rockin' Sonic and the Original Zelda since early December and I'm looking forwards to playing some Mario Bros. and other old school delights.
Controls are nice and intuitive. I can't see all the problems that everyone else has had. Launching a Wiimote into the air is just beyond me.
This is a true winner here, regardless of the naysayers. Nintendo has brought back the fun that I used to have when I first started gaming, back in the Atari days. Simple and fun while getting everyone involved. Here's to looking towards the future when I can transfer my VC games onto a DS cart and run around doing it up old school.
Ninteno rocks!
Engadget & Joystiq's live coverage of Nintendo's Wii E3 event (Joystiq)
May 9th 2006 12:23PM Dang, such a tease with lowering the audio stream and getting a hint of audio from one of the open mics on stage. You can just hear the murmur from the crowd sitting and such. Just a few more minutes I suppose.
Scoble: I have seen the future, and it is Origami (Engadget)
Mar 6th 2006 8:30PM So yeah, I said it once and I'mma say it again. If this thing is availabe to buy by the end or mid May then I'm sure that I'll be in as long as the price is right and the battery lasts for nearly a days use. Let's hope the HDD is reasonable for its size and that the wifi or bluetooth on it is solid and I'm sold. I'm due up for a new gadget that is easier to take with me. Oh yeah, let's hope it has at least a SD slot on it too. That would be sweet.
It's our 2nd birthday and we're giving you the presents! (Engadget)
Mar 6th 2006 10:11AM I got to say that my favourite story was the CES coverage, more specifically the Dell coverage. Only reason for it was because you mentioned Edmonton, Alberta which is my home town. We never get mentioned anywhere and when I went back to the office the following day I was sure to show the rest of us D.O.C. Technicians that we are making some waves from up here in Edmonton. Felt nice to have someone notice our work up here.
Origami refolded: here's what we know (Engadget)
Mar 2nd 2006 4:24PM Emm, did anyone notice that if you look really closely on the second closeup on the link that it says "digital zoom 3x" in the top right hand corner?
HDD or not, this thing looks pretty tight. Would be cool if they had a decent hard drive. I'm hoping the battery life is enough for a full days on and off (hibernate) worth of use.
If they sell it with the little binder type cover that has the built in keyboard I'm sold. Here's to my savings account! ;) Good thing I bought the Mrs. an ipod recently because I'm going to cash in on the brownie points with this one. lol.
