  • The Mozilla mascot waits, in the lobby behind his palm tree, for unsuspecting visitors to make one wrong step... (also note that someone has lovingly decorated his head with a hair pin of some kind...)3398443
  • This is where Mozillans hang out, relax, play and eat. To the left you can see an employee's kid playing on a Wii. Developers were slumped in sofas to the right, on their laptops, presumably reading Download Squad.3398421
  • No intergalactic lounge and recreation area would be complete without a fully-stocked bar. Apparently there isn't usually so much alcohol -- they had been celebrating the Firefox 4.0 feature freeze the night before and hadn't tided up yet.
<br/><br/>Actually, now that I think about it, that would explain why everyone that I saw during my tour was a little worse for wear...3398449
  • Every room in the Mozilla offices is lettered, with some kind of Internet meme or other phrase as a subtitle. Here you see Q, with 'QQ' underneath.

<br/><br/>I wish I'd taken more photos of the room names!3398435
  • Mozilla is covered in artwork and wall decals like this here Robot. He first made an appearance during the <a href=Firefox 3 beta, and again at the Mozilla Summit 2008.

You can also see a Mozilla-branded refrigerator in the background..." title="Mozilla Robot" width="120" height="90" />3398424
  • This is the lobby, behind the dinosaur. Orange chairs, orange walls... and some lovely art!

<br/><br/>There are newspaper clippings, like this one by the Wall Street Journal, all over the offices.3398434
  • I'm not quite sure what this room is for. It looks completely spotless and unused, like a hotel room. To the right there are trophy cases, and the screen on the wall shows recent Mozilla feedback (from Twitter, and elsewhere).

<br/><br/>The machine in the right corner is pretty cool, though. It's a 'robot' that can be used for video conferencing. You log into the robot, whereupon your face is shown on its screen, and you can use it to move around the Mozilla offices.

<br/><br/>Hopefully Mozilla will let me use it one day.3398423
  • Various newspaper clippings, trophies and awards are dotted all over the Mozilla offices.

<br/><br/>This one celebrates the 8 million downloads of Firefox 3 in just 24 hours!3398428
  • Next to the legal department there sits this massage chair. One of their legal staff was sitting in it, but I quickly convinced him that I was more in need of a massage than him.

<br/><br/>It even massages your legs -- it grips them REALLY tightly! -- and elicits the most unhuman of grunts. Still, it left me feeling relaxed and limber.

<br/><br/>(For a laugh, check out <a href=this other photo of me that makes me look like Stephen Hawking.)" title="Relaxation at Mozilla" width="120" height="90" />3398433
  • Yes, that's Batman. The other artwork looks familiar, perhaps from the background of the Firefox download page, or something?

<br/><br/>On the left you can see meeting room 'P', with the subtitle 'Peanutbutter Jelly'.3398431
  • This is what the Mozilla offices actually look like. They cover two floors, and it's all open-plan with bamboo-effect dividers between the desks.

<br/><br/>This is the 'treat table', but the bowls look rather empty...3398430
