  • The entrance to building 43 was being renovated when I visited, but the replica of the <a href=Virgin Galactic SpaceShipOne just hanging there is pretty darn cool." title="Google building 43, the lobby" width="120" height="90" />3419303
  • The Google-branded stage that sits in the corner of Charlie's Cafe, the main eatery at the Google Complex. Note the rather impressive lighting rig -- not bad for a 'cafe'...

<br/><br/>There's a panorama of Charlie's Cafe at the end of this gallery.3419298
  • This isn't a very good photo, but I wanted to show you someone riding a Google Bicycle!3419299
  • A view of the patio and building 40 -- it's all rather 'modern' looking. Building 40 is where the gym is, the laundry facilities... and the ball pit!3419304
  • The aforementioned ball pit.

<br/><br/>I don't know what I'm doing with my finger. It made sense at the time...3419297
  • In between building 40 and 43 there's this beautiful little garden. I only spotted herbs, but I think fruits and vegetables might also be grown here.

<br/><br/>The produce is then used by Charlie's Cafe!3419302
  • I told you Googlers have access to lots of amenities! The main point of this photo is to show you the awesome bicycles, though.

<br/><br/>They're dotted all over the campus. You can just grab one... and cycle to wherever you're going.3419300
  • Two very (very very) short swimming pools sit between building 40 and 41. You could do about two strokes before having to turn around and go the other way.

<br/><br/>I love the fact that a lifeguard sits there all day, irrespective of whether anyone uses the pool or not.3419301
  • Almost all of the green space at the Mountain View campus is between building 40 and 43. Lots of sculpture and art are just dotted around (including a full-size T-Rex dinosaur skeleton, which I forgot to photograph!)

<br/><br/>There were nice benches under the trees, too.3419305
  • You might recognize these sculptures! There's one for every major release of Android -- and this is the Android building.

<br/><br/>In order, we have Cupcake (1.5), Donut (1.6), Eclair (2.1), Froyo (2.2) (that's frozen yoghurt, for the non-Americans out there).

<br/><br/>There's a big Nexus One next to the Android, too -- it even seems to have a screen protector...3419306
  • I don't know if 'sculpture' is the right word for these. Statue? Fiberglass monstrosity?3419307
  • Cupcake was the first release of Android (1.4). It's also by far the best sculpture, in my opinion. The others seem a bit... tacky.

<br/><br/>There's actually a photo of my cousin's girlfriend's ass sticking out of the 'Donut' sculpture, but unfortunately I'm not allowed to upload it.3419308
  • The lobby of building 44 is lucky enough to be graced with this beautiful sculpture of a '<a href=Predalien'

The tongue-thing wobbles for ages if you flick it..." title="Predalien, Google building 44 lobby" width="120" height="90" />3419310
  • Unlike the sculpture outside, this one actually has a screen inside it!

<br/><br/>I actually forgot to play with it, so I don't know if it has a working touchscreen or not.3419309
  • Dotted throughout the Google campus are these large screens with live search results on them.

<br/><br/>It's surprisingly interesting to just sit and watch the pure randomity of people searching.

<br/><br/>I never did see a rude or adult search, either -- perhaps they're filtered out...3419311
  • This is where Android developers sit and relax. There's a kitchen off to one side that's fully stocked with snack foods and drinks.

<br/><br/>Most of these are very old arcade machines (Defender, Robotron), but there's a Lord of the Rings pinball machine on the right...3419312
  • There are a huge number of places to grab a snack at Google, but this is the main one! To the left is a big stage with, as you can see, a lot of lights rigging.

<br/><br/>Charlie was one of the original Google chefs, incidentally, but he's now moved on.3419296
