Toast 11 for Mac lands from Roxio to satisfy all your optical media burning needs
Roxio has announced the immediate availability of Toast 11, its CD, DVD, and Blu-Ray authoring software suite for the Mac. Toast 11 comes in two versions: Titanium and Pro. Both versions come with a redesigned, more streamlined interface, and bring improved Blu-Ray authoring. They also have built-in video tutorials to help newbies quickly get accustomed to their newly-purchased software.
Titanium is the cheaper of the two, and probably has all you need to burn those CDs and DVDs. To burn Blu-Ray discs, you'll have to purchase a $19.99 add-on. Toast 11 Titanium for Mac costs $99.99 ($79.99 after a $20 mail-in rebate).
Toast 11 Pro has everything that Titanium has, but also adds the aforementioned Blu-Ray plug-in as well as four third-party applications that will complement your work in Toast. These are Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 (the No.1 selling consumer photo editing app for Mac), Smartsound SonicFire 5 (which you can use to create soundtracks), BIAS SoundSoap SE (which lets you remove unwanted noise from almost any audio source), and FotoMagico 3 (which lets you easily create high-quality slideshows). Toast 11 Pro can be yours for $149.99 (or $129.99 after a $20 mail-in rebate).
You can purchase either version if you go to the Toast website here. A demo video of Toast 11 is waiting if you hit the jump.
