Angry Birds and Plants vs. Zombies for Windows Phone 7 arrive April 6

Microsoft may have jumped the gun when it displayed an Angry Birds icon at the launch of Windows Phone 7, but it turns out that the hit game will be coming to Microsoft's newest mobile platform, and soon.

According to a Microsoft blog post on the matter, Angry Birds and well as five other well-known games are all set to become available for WP7 starting on April 6. The other games are: Plants vs. Zombies, Doodle Jump, Hydro Thunder Go, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I, and geoDefense.

All five new additions will be Xbox Live-friendly, showing achievements and leaderboards. For more details on each of the games, go to Microsoft's Must Have Games site on Xbox.com.
