Love learning about new software... Adobe Premier Elements is good but very advanced for me, and Pinnacle Studio has issues on my system. I've been looking for something more simplified but accomplishes what I need it to.

I keep on edging to get a 720p Canon Powershot and would like an editor like this.

Long (long!) time reader, first time commenter.
This looks promising... would love a license to try.
Adobe Premier has long lost any appeal to the casual user. Other packages, such as some of Pinnacle's offerings, are getting increasingly bloated.
If Corel is able to strike a balance between the feature set, price, and size, it could find a solid niche in the video editing arena.

I'm looking forward to trying this out, Premiere isn't a great solution for what I need to do.

This would be worth having. I've used Corel Draw since 1991 (I think it was version 2 then, and I've upgraded to almost every version since) and found the interface to be much better than Adobe Illustrator. I've used Adobe Premiere Elements but am not too excited about the difficult to read/navigate interface. I'm having to edit a video for a non-profit, so this would be a timely program.

As someone who's watched Painter grow over the years it's going to be cool to see how Corel does with video.
