Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac hits the App Store

While we still find Windows Phone 7 and OS X to be strange bedfellows, those of you who need to sync your photos, music, videos, and podcasts from iTunes will find the Connector extremely helpful. The app will also allow you to push Windows Phone 7 updates to your device as they become available.
Engadget's Chris Ziegler would like to see a full Zune client for Mac, but that's unlikely to happen until Microsoft decides how to fully re-brand Zune as a member of the Windows Live family.

This combo seems a little like an oxymoron come to life. (did i spell that right? oxymoron, oxy moron, oxy-moron... hmm...) I just cant see the casual Apple user owning a W7 phone. I guess it's more of a business thing.

Personally, I use windows mobile 6.1 (for god knows why) and use osx and there has never been a version of active sync developed for mac, but they manage get to this out of the wood works in less than a few months? Bully cock i say.
When this piece of #$*% finally ups and dies I'm still undecided though... Shall i give windows a second chance? Off the help google own the world? Or shall i just let Jobsy tell me what i need?

I hope we're moving into an era where platform hegemony can give way to smooth inter-operation. Apple has long made iPhone sync available on the Windows platform, replete with sync to Outlook, etc. The Windows Phone 7 platform, like the iPhone is a great one from both users' and developers' standpoints and needs similar integration with all of our boxes. It's great news for users and developers alike that one less impediment exists to the notion of having both choice and compatibility in the market. This news combined with those about multitasking and the Nokia partnership are very welcome and help me think Microsoft may have their heads on straight. It's a great group of people up there in Redmond, I'm very glad to see news like this come out of there.
Eager young bloggers -- please do not assume that all Mac users are fan boys and girls. Most of us have Mac's, PC's, and Xbox's in our lives -- it's great that these Windows Phone 7 devices are going to join that ecosystem smoothly. Now if only my iPhone had an Xbox Live client and my Apple TV2 had native DivX support like my Windows 7 PC. As a user, I'd like to see all of these walls come down.
They're my devices, they're my networks, fan boys -- get back in your hole!
