Ask DLS: What's your primary Web browser?

While the browser usage charts we share from time to time show overall browser usage amongst the Web at large, Download Squad readers are not exactly the average bunch in terms of browser use. So today we have one simple question for you:
What's your primary Web browser?
| Internet Explorer | |
|---|---|
| Firefox | |
| Chrome | |
| Opera | |
| Other (Flock etc.) | |
| Safari |

Chrome of course! :P

Why bother having this poll? Can't you just show the actual results from your web analytics? Or do you think DLS readers don't use their main browser to read DLS?
Sebastian AnthonyFeb 16th 2011 12:47PM
@HardwareGuy Yeah, they all spoof their user agent and surf in Incognito mode -- our content is THAT litigious.
DazFeb 16th 2011 12:51PM
@HardwareGuy actually I'd imagine that a number of people use RSS readers to sate their daily DLS hunger.

IE9 is awesome. =(

Geeks like Chrome :)

@Fred
Too me Chrome is far from geeky, Firefox is much more customizable. You can do literally anything with Firefox.
Firefox FTW!
Sebastian AnthonyFeb 16th 2011 12:56PM
@Daz Correct, but a surprisingly large number of people click through, too!

IE9's ok except for the lack of add-ons. Currently rockin Chrome because of their pdf reader and simple interface. Might switch back to FF4 once it's out.

Chrome. Why use anything else?
@tmaFeb 16th 2011 12:55PM
I think I'm way too neurotic and paranoid to browse the general web without good security addons, and only Firefox has those. When there's a full NoScript implementation in Chrome, then we can talk.
earlsFeb 16th 2011 1:01PM
@tma - I'm sure even then you'll find some neurotic and paranoid excuse.

Opera has had a better NoScript alternative for years, called BlockIt

COME ON FIREFOXITES!
We can't let the noob Chromers win.

@Sebastian Anthony ahhh its taking too much time to vote in this pool with firefox, better just use chrome to vote for firefox
Sebastian AnthonyFeb 16th 2011 1:05PM
@miguel dias Ha... ha... ha.

I'm still a Firefox guy. Been using the FF4 beta as my primary for a few months. Chrome is a close second, but there are a few things that make me stay with Firefox. Stuff like being able to move some add-on buttons to the left of the location bar, or to the menu/tab bar. Also, pinned tabs like Facebook light up when I receive a notification or message. Little things like that.

Eww. Old Opera icon is ugly. You should really change that to the current one. (http://www.opera.com/press/resources/)

I'm primarily Firefox (now using Ff4), although Chrome/Chromium is my second browser. With my job, it is handy to have multiple browsers open at the same time (I've had Firefox, Chrome, Opera, SeaMonkey, Safari, and IE all open at once, although I usually avoid IE as much as possible.)
I should point out, however, that the primary browser I use on my phone is Opera Mini.
