Late last year, Microsoft expanded availability of its Office Web Apps to
15 additional countries. Now, the company has announced another bump -- this time by a whopping
150 new locales. Microsoft's announcement doesn't include a full listing, but India, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, and Thailand are among the additions.
The post also states that Office Web Apps will fully rolled out worldwide by March. Right now, more than 30 million people are using Microsoft's online suite -- that number will obviously increase now that the remaining geographical roadblocks are being removed.

I love the web apps but their insistence on windows live, sky Drive, IE, doesn't let them fit into my yahoo, dropbox and chrome world

I got a Google CR48 in the mail last week and thought that this would be a perfect site to use. Unfortunately i have already been discouraged after a hour of use and will stick with Google's offerings. The site is slow, the apps are slow, and embarrassingly, when i downloaded a .xlsx file from a email attachment the Excel Web App couldn't open it... but Google Docs could and did it much easier since i can import it straight from the email.
Try again MS, your constant half-baked ideas will be the doom of your once universal monopoly.
