Microsoft Insider app introduces users to Windows Phone 7
Got a new Windows Phone 7 smartphone? Looking for a an app to help you get familiar with your new device? Microsoft's Insider app does exactly that, offering a look at other top apps, phone-friendly wallpapers from Bing, tips on how to use your new mobile OS, and social networking updates from the WP7 team.
Insider is the kind of app it would have been nice to see when Windows Phone 7 actually launched a few months ago. Still, it's a nice companion to the OS for new users, especially those who might not be as smartphone-savvy as regular Download Squad readers.

Heh this will be useful for who exactly?
Are they saying that the phone is hard to use an not very intuitive?
Strange admission to make...
But it would explain those very low sales figures.

@SilverWave First of all, shut up troll.
Second of all. I guess every facet of Apple's UI design is difficult to use because of those horribly condesending how-to videos they post about every single thing they do.
It's called not everyone is tech savvy, and even those that are might not be aware of some of the more advanced features that aren't right at the top of the interface

Hmm Shirley no oe will be fooled into using bing after they were caught copying from Google?
I mean why settle for 2nd hand results...
Use Google, Bing does.

@SilverWave They will. And don't call me Shirley. And, as for your first comment, this will be useful for non-techy people just moving up to smartphones. It's not that they're admitting it's not intuitive, it's that some people need a little help with all technology, so why not help them out?

@Anthony S.
heh best quote of the day:
"I don’t think The Oxford English Dictionary is going to have to replace the verb to google with to bing anytime soon, not least because bing is already a verb meaning “to have sex with a leprechaun.”
