Slacker Radio launches iPad app, on-demand streaming subscription
Slacker Radio has announced that it will have an application for the iPad out before the end of January. The app will feature artist bios, album reviews, artist images and full-size album art. It will also naturally work with Slacker's newly unveiled on-demand streaming plan, called Slacker Premium Radio. This will give you on-demand access to Slacker's entire song library, top charts, and station playlists. The subscription will work with all of Slacker's clients -- for Web, iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry.By offering on-demand song access, Slacker has one-upped Pandora and joined the likes of MOG and Rdio, and will probably become a more interesting proposition for serious music listeners than it was before.
Slacker Premium Radio will also become available before the end of January. Canadian listeners can now also benefit from unlimited access to the free Slacker Radio, and the company promises to support Nokia smartphones and Verizon 4G LTE devices soon.

Have you ever used Grooveshark? It's possibly the greatest thing ever, and sounds like Slacker Premium.. but for free. =]

I have both, I actually use Slacker 95% of the time. Grooveshark's lookup ability is so hit-or-miss, and its ability to stream decent associated radio is uninspiring. I would like it if Slacker had a Pandora-like similar music streaming feature as an option, but instead it offers "stations" which are picked by employee "DJs" so there's very little I hear I don't like. Station of choice is Indie Chill.
Anyway I regret my Grooveshark subscription. Especially as an iOS user after Apple pulled their app. >:/

@Chris I have used Slacker for a long time, and there is a pandora-like feature on it. If you use the search feature at the top of the main window feature, you can search for a song or artist, and create a station that is based off of that song.
