Evernote app for Windows Phone 7 to launch 'this winter'

Evernote logoEvernote will have an application for Windows Phone 7 ready 'this winter', according to a post on the company's official blog. No additional details have been made public, but given the suggested time frame, Evernote for Windows Phone 7 should be ready in a couple of months at the latest.

This news was buried in a post otherwise dedicated to showcasing Evernote-related stats for 2010. Most interesting among those is, perhaps, the fact that Evernote has passed six million registered users. User numbers have gone up 186% in 2010. Evernote also now has over 200,000 Premium users, a whopping 470% more than at the end of 2009.

iOS is the mobile platform that's seen the most use for Evernote in 2010, with 1.1 million active users in December, as opposed to Android's 550,000, but Android numbers grew 1,570% in 2010, so nothing looks set in stone for 2011. Desktop-wise, Windows is king, followed by desktop Web use and Mac use which were almost tied in December. For all three, the growth rates compared to December of 2009 are in the three figures.

All in all, it certainly is clear that 2010 was a great year for Evernote, and with their expansion into new mobile avenues, there's no reason for 2011 not to be at least equally good.
