Congress to broadcast opening day live on Facebook, later today
Today the U.S. House of Representatives will be transitioning over to Republican control. To mark the event, the first speech by new House Speaker, congressman John Boehner, will be streamed live on the Pledge to America Facebook page.
You will be able to watch the proceedings live even if you don't have a Facebook account – the page is open and accessible to all, as befitting a democracy. Still, if for some reason you simply don't like Facebook, you can watch the screencast itself on Livestream, which will be doing the heavy lifting on the video part (the Livestream video is embedded into the Facebook page).
If you do elect to watch the video on Facebook, you'll be able to comment on the page while it is happening, and take a more direct part in the democratic process (or at least make some noise about it).

This will be fun. Live streaming of the Repubs. bashing the Administration and pledging to undo everything that's been done so far.

This is NOT "the official channel of the U.S. House of Representatives" as you claim in your article. That is why the channel is called "A Pledge to America", the name of a promotional campaign for the GOP. It even says on their facebook page that their official website is pledge.gop.gov and not house.gov.

I can't wait to see Boner's glorious orange face streamed to me on the web!
Not that I'll actually watch it. But seriously, he is orange.
