Internet Explorer 9 beta downloaded more than 20 million times
The downloads keep on coming for the Internet Explorer 9 beta. According to a new post on the Exploring IE blog, IE9 has now been downloaded more than 20 million times since its release in September 2010. It's also worth noting that IE9 market share has nearly reached half a percent -- not bad at all for a beta browser, especially one from Microsoft.
And it's not just end users who have been bullish on IE9. The post also states that more than 900 sites have taken advantage of Internet Explorer 9's Windows 7 shell integration features. With greatly improved JavaScript performance, hardware acceleration, and an increased focus on standards and compatibility, Microsoft is clearly determined to ensure the new browser is competitive with alternatives like Chrome, Firefox, and Opera.

I love how on the IE HTML 5 Blizzard test I get three snowflakes on Chrome 8.0.552.343 (Chrome OS 0.9.128.12, Cr-48) and 10.0.612.3 dev (Win 7, HP Pavilion), it fails to even work on 10.0.614.0 canary (same), and I get 845+ on IE9 beta (same).
It must be Chrome . . .
I enjoyed the jazzy tune, even though I was stung by the presumed slight.

I tried it, chrome and opera are STILL faster. A huge improvement, though.

Oh... That was just me. My screen didn't refresh, so I just kept hitting the "download now" button. Sorry.

Downloading Internet Explorer 9 beta for for user of Windows Live Writer 2011 will mess it up. The only thing Internet Explorer is good for is downloading Chrome or Firefox.
Until next time,
