Foursquare for Android brings photos, comments and home screen widgets
Foursquare got a pretty big update for the iPhone earlier in the week, but no body puts Android in the corner! Foursquare has added photos and comments to its Android app, just like the iPhone update, giving you the option of attaching a picture to your check-ins and commenting on others. Check-in history has also made the cut, so you can see where you've been complete with comments and photos. But foursquare has taken full advantage of Google's mobile platform to give Android users something iOS users don't have. Android gets two 'exclusive' home screen widgets -- one for quick from-the-home-screen check-ins and another to monitor the activity of your friends.
So if you're an Android user and foursquare afficienado, then you can download the update from the Android market, or hit the jump for the QR code.

This app won't TRULY take advantage of Android until it gets Contact Sync like Twitter and Facebook have-- it's supposed to be social but you still have to dig through the app to text or call a friend. As I recall, an independent developer actually wrote the code for this and they said they'd review it and never got back to him.
