Google extends WAP mobile search ads to 15 more countries
In an online tech blogosphere dominated by news of the latest iThis or DroidThat, where mentions of '4G' have started to show up long before any international organization actually defined the term, it's easy to forget that the majority of people in the world use featurephones. Phones that, more often than not, don't come with full-fledged mobile web browsers. They do, however, have WAP browsers. And, at 2G speeds (remember GPRS?), no matter how laughable it may sound, WAP browsing just may be more efficient than waiting an hour for any modern news site to load.Google knows all this, which is why they aren't ignoring WAP. And now they have brought their mobile search ads to the attention of even more people, extending them to 15 more countries.
The countries that have just started to get Google mobile search ads over WAP are: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Hong Kong (which is not a country), Indonesia, Mexico, Malaysia, Nigeria, New Zealand, the Philippines, Slovenia, Thailand, and Turkey.
If you're interested in creating WAP mobile ads, Google has a Help Center ready for you over here. As a WAP user in the aforementioned countries, you obviously don't have to do anything special to see the ads -- Google will happily show them to you.

Hmm.. This is interesting... What I can see above is:
"If you're interested in creating WAP mobile ads, Google has a ."
But, when I copy-pasted the line here to point it out, I get this:
"If you're interested in creating WAP mobile ads, Google has a Help Center ready for you over here."
Any ideas why it doesn't show up on my FF 3.6.13?
